US paper claims Bill Gates is set to unleash an HD-DVD packing Xbox at CES next week.
Bill Gates will take to the stage at CES in Vegas next week and drop news of an HD-DVD packing Xbox 360.
That's according to The Seattle Times, who reckon Gates is lining up an 'important' announcement for the assembled gadget masses in Nevada.
The Big M has previously crushed such talk, but their hi-def allies Toshiba last year dropped big hints that the HD hub would be coming in 2008.
That rumour was swiftly quashed, but with Tosh and Microsoft both set on destroying Sony's Blu-Ray plans, who would bet against a joint announcement during Bill's annual chinwag with the press.
With Gates dropping the 360 Elite last year, we reckon the hi-def Xbox is definitely a goer. We'll be there next week, getting you all the news first, so stay tuned for your hi-def gaming hit.
