Johannesburg - Microsoft's Xbox 360 Elite is launching in South Africa on Friday.
The Elite will carry an estimated retail price of R4 599 and comes with a 120GB hard drive, enabling consumers to store huge quantities of content such as music, DVDs and photographs.
It also comes with a high-definition multimedia interface port (HDMI) - designed for the growing number of consumers with HD TVs and HDMI.
According to Microsoft, the features, look and feel of the Xbox 360 Elite make it the ultimate in entertainment devices and the "luxury" option for early adopters of sophisticated technology.
Gamers can also look forward to new titles such as Halo 3 (Bungie), Scene It? (Microsoft Game Studios), Bioshock (2k Games), Project Gotham Racing 3 (Bizarre Creations), Mass Effect (BioWare), Naruto (Ubisoft) and Blue Dragon (Mistwalker/Artoon Co Ltd).
