Final Fantasy VII | FF7 Ultima Edition | XP/VISTA Ready

The story of Final Fantasy VII begins as the protagonist, Cloud Strife, joins the anti-Shin-Ra organization AVALANCHE in a bombing raid on one of eight mako reactors that surround the city of Midgar. The mako reactor is soon destroyed and the group makes their way back to their base. En route, Cloud encounters Aeris Gainsborough, a flower merchant. During their next mission, AVALANCHE is trapped by President Shinra and a robotic guard before they can escape the mako reactor that they have rigged to explode. Although they defeat the guard, the reactor's explosion sends Cloud hurtling from the upper levels of Midgar into the slums below. Falling through the roof of a derelict church in Sector 5, he lands on a flower bed unharmed, where he is formally introduced to Aeris. Cloud soon agrees to take a job for Aeris as her bodyguard, an agreement prompted by the arrival of operatives of the Shin-Ra Company's Turks organization, who have been ordered to capture Aeris.

BioShock makes great use of shadows to create suspense and to cue the player in on nearby enemies. The game won't be as enjoyable if you play on the PC at low quality.

British 911 Rival

It's a familiar story. Fledgling British sports car maker announces its homegrown 911 rival. Teaser images are released.

A magazine or two publish breathless scoop features proclaiming its brilliance. And then nothing. And it looked like that might be just the case with the Farboud GTS, a hardcore mid engined number designed by supercar nut Arash Farboud.

But Farboud has handed the project over to a new company. Renamed the Farbio GTS and now in the hands of ex Marcos man Chris Marsh, the aim has to been to refine the GTS concept into viable production form. Or, to put it another way, make it affordable and profitable. So the expensive pushrod suspension and other racecar features have been shelved and more conventional and cost effective solutions found. The original Audi V6 - since discontinued - has also been replaced with a Ford Duratec V6, similar to that used by Noble. The spaceframe chassis and carbon fibre bodywork remain though, as does the flat floor and rear diffuser to boost aerodynamic stability.

It's certainly very light, the 1048kg kerbweight meaning it weighs 192kg less than a Clio 197 and is 347kg lighter than a 911 Carrera. The 262bhp on offer sounds modest but with so little mass performance is formidable, with Farbio claiming 0-62mph in just 4.8 seconds. And if that really isn't quick enough for you there is also a supercharged version with 348bhp and 0-62mph in just 3.9 seconds. AP Racing brakes and Eibach springs on adjustable dampers will offer more than designer label racing cred too - this is all proven kit and used by race teams the world over.

But unlike British rivals the Farbio GTS has no pretensions of being a trackday special. "Obviously you can use it on the track but that's not really what it's about," says Chris Marsh. "Indeed, people seem to be more interested in the normally aspirated version at the moment because the performance is more usable." And while he doesn't rule out a more track focused version in the future he points out that the GTS is intended to be as comfortable and user friendly as possible.

In todays world there are lots of abuse taking place i.e., Child Abuse, Animal Abuse, Elder Abuse, etc.

Let see about Child Abuse. There are lots of cases related to child abuse. Child abuse happens in all cultural, ethnic, and income groups. Child abuse can be physical, emotional - verbal, sexual or through neglect. Abuse may cause serious injury to the child and may even result in death. Today, When i go to Yahoo homepage, i see a video with a baby dancing "super bebe bailando". I know this video is fake and made for fun, but should this video being published?. I dont know about others opinion but for me personally, its very disturbing and creepy. I hate when someone make these types of videos with babies and animals. The fact that this made at Yahoo home page should be embarrassing!.

No matter which type of abuse a child is caught into, it could impact the child future. So, this should be stopped any how. To stop this everybody in the communities need to stay alert and report if they found or suspect a child is abused. In most of the cases a child was abused by his/her immediate family or people they know without the abuser realize it.

To overcome this, the communities should be alert by providing counseling or awareness program. By doing so, we hope that we will be more sensitive on the issue and child abuse could be reduced or stopped. STOP CHILD ABUSE, STOP ABUSE!!!

How Important is Alexa Ranking?

All businesses that employ online marketing, strive to improve their conversion rate. Now, there are different ways of attracting targeted traffíc. Some try to achieve a good ranking in the SERPs, while others are satisfied with heavier traffic. Either way, everybody has the goal of achieving financial success.

But, while scoring high with Google may seem to certain business people the only way to make themselves known and thus reach their goal, there are others that think that a good position in the Alexa ranking system might benefit them just as well.

What is Alexa Ranking?

This is a ranking system set by alexa.com (a subsidiary of amazon.com ) that basically audits and makes public the frequency of visits to various Web sites. The algorithm by which Alexa traffíc ranking is calculated, is simple. It is based on the amount of traffic recorded over a period of three months from users that have the Alexa toolbar installed.

This traffíc is based on such parameters as reach and page views. The reach refers to the number of Alexa users who visit a particular site in one day. Page view, as the name indicates, is the number of times a particular page (URL) is viewed by Alexa users. Alexa.com makes it clear though that, if a particular user visits the same URL multiple times on the same day, all those visits will be counted as one.

The first step of the ranking process is calculating the reach and number of page views for all the sites on the Web on a daily basis. Alexa ranking is obtained by performing the geometric mean of reach and page views, averaged over a predefined period of time (three months).

How Alexa Ranking Works

It's quite easy to get started. All you have to do is visit the alexa.com site and download (and install) the Alexa toolbar. This toolbar offers a search function, but it mainly displays the rank (at a global level) of the visited site, as well as the sites that have been visited by Web surfers that are linked in some way to the site being visited.

The Alexa toolbar not only displays information, but it also sends data to the central server. Thus, each time you visit a Web page via a Web browser (be it Internet Explorer or Firefox) that has the toolbar installed, information is sent to the server indicating your IP and the page you are visiting. Such data is gathered from all the Web users who have the Alexa toolbar.

With Alexa, the smaller the numerical ranking, the better. Most people say that if you manage to make it in the top 100,000, it is a sign that your site enjoys quite heavy traffíc.

Is Alexa Ranking Worth Anything?

Benefits

Alexa Traffic can be used as a competitive intelligence tool, but you should take into consideration the fact that the audience sample size is fairly small. Just enter your competitor's site in the "Compare Sites" section and measure the results of your web marketing efforts in comparison with your competitors'.

As opposed to Google's PageRank, the lower your ranking number, the better.

It helps Webmasters and advertisers see the real marketing potential of your Web site. The better your Alexa rank, the higher they may be willing to bid to buy advertising space on your Web site.

Personal pages or blogs are also ranked in the same way as ordinary Web sites. They will even get a distinctive mark (*)

Because Alexa ranking helps you with information about your Web site, it is a good instrument for search engine optimization.

Disadvantages

Not everybody has the Alexa toolbar installed, so there might be millíons of Web sites that, even if they have a lot of traffíc, will not be ranked (or not high enough) by Alexa. It is rather relative.

Many people say that it is inaccurate and that Alexa traffíc can be greatly influenced (or "gamed", as some prefer to call it).

Subdomains are not ranked separately, and neither are subpages within a domain. The overall traffic is calculated for the top-level domain only.

Ways to Improve Your Alexa Ranking

If you want to boost your Alexa traffíc ranking, you just have to follow some quite simple rules, such as:

Download and install the Alexa toolbar and then surf your own site.

Place the Alexa widget on your Web site. It will entice visitors to use it and, you know, each click counts.

Write useful, quality content, mostly webmaster-related. Promote it on webmaster forums and on social networking sites. The idea is to get as many computer and Internet savvy people as possible to visit your site, since the probability that they will have the Alexa toolbar installed is high.

Write blogs and articles about Alexa. You will get links to your pages that will help improve your ranking.

Try to get your articles on such blog sites as digg.com, del.icio.us, or www.stumbleupon.com

Optimize your site (or relevant pages of it) for Alexa related keywords.

Tell your friends about the Alexa toolbar, have them download and install it on their computers, and then tell them to visit your site.

Use an Alexa redirect. This means placing http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect? in front of your Web site's URL. Alexa will then take into consideration clicks on redirected links even if the visitor does not have the Alexa toolbar.

Apparently, Asian people are huge fans of Alexa. Therefore, many people suggest posting in Asian social networking forums.

Whenever you post on webmaster forums, include your site's URL in your signature. It is very likely that most webmasters have the toolbar installed, and there's a great probability that they'll visit your site.

Conclusion

As we have seen, there are pros and cons to Alexa ranking. The bottom line is that most people consider it valuable only for direct advertising. Given the fact that Alexa ranking for a site is calculated on the basis of how many visitors with the Alexa toolbar installed have visited that particular site, the results can be inaccurate.

Nevertheless, it may prove useful for sites with very good traffíc that attract highly targetëd leads, since Alexa focuses more on the traffic that Web sites receive rather than on links to it. As a Web site monetization strategy, we can safely say that Alexa ranking might be the right solution.

Guilty Gear X2 is a simple, fun 2-D fighting game with quirky characters and a variety of options that allow for a customized gaming experience. Instant Kill is also back in this version and is similar to a Mortal Kombat fatality--but occurs during the match.

Guilty Gear is one of the premier 2-D fighting-game franchises, and GGX2 lives up to the legacy. Instead of the series entering the world of three dimensions, we are given a two-dimensional feast of options, great graphics, and gameplay.

SE Tactics: How to Avoid Alienating the Major Search Engines

Each of the major search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN have quality webmaster guidelines in place to prevent the unfair manipulation of search engine rankings by unscrupulous website owners. These webmaster guidelines change frequently to 'weed' out any new deceptive practices and those websites found engaging in these illicit practices are consequently dropped from the search engine rankings of the major search engine they have offended.

Being banned or dropped from the search engine rankings can have dire effects on your website traffic, online sales generation and site popularity. Especially if your website is classified as a 'bad neighborhood' site, you can then kiss your reciprocal linking campaign goodbye, as existing and prospective link partners will not want to be associated with your site for fear of their own rankings dropping.

If you wish to avoid alienating the major search engines then do not engage in the following SE tactics :

1. 'Cloaking' or sneaky redirects - displaying different content to the search engines than shown to your normal website visitors including hidden text and hidden links. Often this is achieved by delivering content based on the IP address of the user requesting the page, when a user is identified as a search engine spider a side-server script delivers a different version of the web page to deceive the search engine into giving the website a higher ranking.

2. 'Doorway' pages created specifically for the search engines that are aimed at spamming the index of a search engine by inserting results for specific keyword phrases to send the search engine spider to a different page. With doorway pages a user doesn't arrive at the page they were looking for. Similarly avoid 'cookie cutter' approaches that direct users to affiliate advertising with little or no original content.

3. Don't create pages that install viruses, Trojans or badware. 'Badware' is spyware, malware or deceptive adware that tracks a user's movements on the internet and reports this information back to unscrupulous marketing groups who then bombard the user with targeted advertising. This type of spyware is often unknowingly downloaded when playing online games or is attached to software or information downloads from a site. They are often difficult to identify and remove from a user's PC and can affect the PC's functionality.

4. Avoid using software that sends automatic programming queries to the search engines to submit pages or check rankings. This type of software consumes valuable computing resources of the search engines and you will be penalized for using it.

5. Don't load web pages with irrelevant words.

6. Don't link to 'bad neighborhood' sites who have:

* Free for all links pages
* Link farms - automated linking schemes with lots of unrelated links
* Known web spammers or the site has been dropped or banned by the search engines.

7. Avoid 'broken links' or '404 errors', your site will be penalized for them.

8. Don't display pages with minimal content that is of little value to your site visitors.

9. Do not duplicate content unnecessarily.

10. Do not use pop-ups, pop-unders or exit consoles.

11. Do not use pages that rely significantly on links to content created for another website.

12. Do not use 'cross linking' to artificially inflate a site's popularity. For example, the owner of multiple sites cross linking all of his sites together, if all sites are hosted on the same servers the search engines will pick this up and the sites will be penalized.

13. Do not misuse a competitors name or brand names in site content.

14. Sites with numerous, unnecessary virtual host names will be penalized.

15. Do not use techniques that artificially increase the number of links to your web pages ie. Link farms.

16. Display web pages with deceptive, fraudulent content or pages that provide users with irrelevant page content.

17. Using content, domain titles, meta tags and descriptions that violate any laws, regulations, infringe on copyrights & trademarks, trade secrets or intellectual property rights of an individual or entity. Specifically in terms of publicity, privacy, product design, torts, breach of contract, injury, damage, consumer fraud, false, misleading, slanderous or threatening content.

Increase Blog Traffic With BlogRush

I maybe late to post about this. but it is better than never post it. :)

BlogRush is a “Cooperative Syndication network” that rewards its users for their contributions to the network. BlogRush was designed to be incredibly viral and to provide its users with tremendous distribution leverage to receive exposure for their blog content that they could never achieve on their own; at least without a massive advertising budget.

Most Coveted Cars

The Bugatti Veyron supercar can go from zero to 60 in less than 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 253 miles per hour. And by most accounts it ranks as the world's most expensive production vehicle.

But with a planned worldwide run of 300, even the most deep-pocketed will not likely see one, ever. That's because, in addition to dropping $1.4 million, buyers will have to wait in line about 10 months for the 80 to 90 models rolling off the assembly line this year.

That's nothing compared to the Koenigsegg CCX. The all-new, exotic Swedish supercar performs like the Bugatti, at about half the price. Yet with less than 20 cars available annually in the U.S., some say it's destined to be more coveted because it's within reach of a much larger pool of the rich and famous.

Ben Nef, who sells the CCX at its sole U.S. dealership, Exotic Cars at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, says that as soon as the first deliveries begin this month and later hit the road, the waiting list--now at just over a year--may double.

That makes sense, according to Milton Pedraza, CEO of the Luxury Institute, a market research firm. He says people who can afford the most exclusive cars see them as status symbols. Such cars earn them a rank with oil sheiks, tech moguls and captains of industry, or at the very least allows them to be regarded as a mover and shaker in their own city.

"These cars exert influence … they say who you are in the hierarchy and can be a power base for business deals," says Pedraza. "And how long you've been on the waiting list for a particular vehicle says how long you've been a power broker."

Car Cliques

Quite simply, the more exclusive a vehicle, the more likely it is to be coveted by those who can afford it. Lack of supply builds demand, yet these automakers don't increase supply because they see the long-term value for their brands in exclusivity.

But striking that delicate balance can be challenging for automakers. Stoking demand with truly special products and producing enough cars to turn a profit, yet holding back enough so that not everyone who wants and can afford one can get it, is behind what makes brands like Ferrari so successful.

For years, Ferrari has masterfully managed its waiting lists, always making sure demand exceeds supply, and Ferrari ownership is something that is sought out by those with the means. There's now a typical wait time of two years on any of its models, and the company and its dealers follow a centralized system in which repeat customers are placed higher on the waiting list. Other companies that use a similar system in the U.S. include Aston Martin and Bentley.

In general, the most successful prestige luxury and sports car makes are those that aren't going to compromise the exclusivity of the brand to appease newcomers, adds Pedraza. They include Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce and Bentley.

Bob Cann, who has sold exotic sports cars and prestige luxury cars for 30 years through his MotorCars International and Lamborghini Houston dealerships, compares these most coveted cars to high-end real estate, where location is everything.

"Lamborghini and Ferrari have found that if they build cars in a limited number," he says, "it really drives the market, and price almost becomes secondary to other factors like 'How soon can I get it?' or 'How many are there?'"

But also among the most in-demand are models from several larger automakers that manage to stay highly regarded by the elite crowd by making image-building, limited-volume cars.

In these cases, the rules for waiting may allow a bit more line-jumping, depending on who you are. Mercedes-Benz, for instance, sells some pretty exclusive, distinctive models under its AMG line. But, like most full-line automakers, Mercedes leaves it up to its dealerships to divvy up those precious slots on the waiting list for even the rarest models.

"We trust our dealerships to treat our customers well," says Larkin Hill, a spokesman for Mercedes-Benz. Hill says if dealerships want to grant preference to loyal longtime customers, that's fine. "It allows the dealership to reward their best customers," he says.

Priority status is another solution employed by some of the industry's smaller automakers to help spur positive cash flow. For instance, Silicon Valley's Tesla Motors has a two-tiered reservation system. A a deposit of $30,000 merely puts you on the list, while a larger deposit of $50,000 allows you rush status and delivery a few months earlier.

DualShock 3 with rumble finally confirmed for the PS3

During his keynote speech today at the Tokyo Game Show, Sony president Kaz Hirai finally confirmed the upcoming DualShock 3 controllers with rumble feature.

The sixaxis controller will be available in Japan in November and then in the US and the UK in Spring 2008. No price has been set as of yet.

"We have not made any changes to its outward appearance and design, but it does have vibration," Hirai added.

Earlier in the day the controllers were seen in action at a demo of "Burnout Paradise" in which journalists were allowed to use the new controllers.

Hirai said there would be nine titles available at TGS that supported the new controller including the upcoming "Metal Gear Online." For months now Sony has downplayed the lack of the rumble but apparently recently "we have been able to overcome this difficulty," said Hirai.

There was also legal issues that were stopping the controller from being made. In 2002, Immersion sued both Sony and Microsoft for "patent infringement related to the inclusion of rumble features in their game controllers." Microsoft settled, but Sony decided to fight. In March 2007, Sony was ordered to pay out over 90 million USD to Immersion and the case was finally settled.
